Why I Love My Job:

I love being a scientist. One of the main things I love is that I am always learning something new. I have the freedom to ask questions that I find interesting and then work with others to design experiments and analyze results to answer those questions.  The knowledge that is generated builds on what is known about the natural world and collectively that knowledge will help solve the challenges facing society.

Panzea was funded by the National Science Foundation, Plant Genome Research Project, award #1238014: “The Biology of Rare Alleles in Maize and Its Wild Relatives”; the research groups on this project were also supported by the USDA-ARS, their home institutions, and/or various other sources of funding.
